Ivan Antonio was born in Salerno in 1986. Antonio debuted at the age 24 as Conductor with Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly” in Rome. From January 2016 he was nominated the Artistic Director of “ Orchestra Sinfonica di Salerno Claudio Abbado” in Salerno (Naples). Ivan Antonio is graduated with the highest marks in the Conduction at the “Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi” of Milan, in Music applied to multimedia contexts. He is also graduated from the “Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Martucci” in Salerno as Music Composer.
He studied composition with Lucia Ronchetti, Raffaele Grimaldi, and Massimo Botter and conducting with Nicola Hansalik Samale and Vittorio Parisi.
In 2014 he studied under the guidance of Maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti at the prestigious “Accademia Musicale Chigiana”.
In 2015 he was chosen by Master Daniele Gatti for the Masterclass on “Symphony no. 4” composed by Gustav Mahler, organized by the “Conservatorio of Giuseppe Verdi” of Milan and in the same occasion he was selected for the conduction of the Final Concert at the Conservatory with the Prelude to the third act of the “Cantorian Masters of Nuremberg” by R. Wagner.
