“The Jazz Side of Bacharach” is a jazz homage to one of the most important composers of the past century.
Burt Bacharach is considered as an elegant and refined composer, but the simplicity of his music must not be mistaken for triviality. As happens with other artists, the immediacy of his music makes his works easily recognizable; very frequently, even when he is not performing them, his songs are immediately acknowledged as written by him.
Many singers had the pleasure of singing his songs: The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, B. J. Thomas, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Herb Alpert, Drifters, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and most especially Dionne Warwick.
Many great jazz musicians performed his works: Wes Montgomery, Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz, Bill Evans and McCoy Tyner, to cite but few.
With his jazz-style arrangements, Claudio “Wally” Allifranchini wished to contribute his own view of Bacharach’s works, with an elegant and refined ensemble – just as elegant and refined as the performed music is.

Burt Bacharach è considerato un compositore elegante e raffinato, la semplicità della sua musica non deve essere scambiata per banalità e come per altri artisti l’immediatezza della sua musica ha fatto si che i suoi brani siano facilmente riconoscibili e molto spesso, nonostante non sia lui l’interprete, le sue canzoni vengono immediatamente collegate a lui.
Molti sono i cantanti che hanno avuto il piacere di cantare le sue canzoni: Beatles, Aretha Franklin, B. J. Thomas, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Herb Alpert, Drifters, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Elton John e soprattutto Dionne Warwick.

Claudio “Wally” Allifranchini con i sui arrangiamenti in stile jazz ha voluto dare la sua visione delle opere di Bacharach, con una formazione elegante e raffinata, proprio come la musica affrontata.
