The 1/2 Seasons, a reinterpretation of the famous ‘Four Seasons’,are the half-tones between one theme and the next, those ‘folk’ tones belonging to the popular music of the time, which Antonio Vivaldi masterfully channelled into his compositions according to his ingenious and highly personal flair.
Thus was born a daring project in which our trio acts as a small orchestra of soloists, respectfully mocking the concept of Seasons in a broader sense, balancing the ‘baroque’ past of the solo violin in dialogue with the orchestral tutti and the ‘crossover’ present of ‘Gli Archimedi’ in a chamber version.
