Alessandro Del Gobbo
Biography
Alessadro Del Gobbo
Young Italian pianist appreciated for his versatility, as is testified by his choice of interesting programmes, by his open-mindedness with regard to unusual repertoires, and by his dynamic chamber music projects.
He performed both solo recitals and lecture-recitals in theatres such as the Teatro Verdi in Pordenone, the Palamostre in Udine, the Mancinelli Theatre in Orvieto, the Auditorium Rosai of Florence, and in the halls of the Venetian Palace of Malborghetto, of the Palazzo Isimbardi in Stradella, and of the Accademia Pianistica Ricci in Udine. He also took part in the festivals “Piano Live” in Turin, Piano City Milan, Piano City Pordenone, “Filosofia in città” and “Nei suoni dei luoghi” in Udine, as well as “TwoPianos – Three Cities” in Vienna. He performed abroad also at the Wiener Saal of the Salzburg Mozarteum, at the Peterskirche in Vienna and at the Universität für darstellende Kunst, in a series of recitals in Vienna and Austria.
His youthful attraction for the works by Debussy and Ravel revealed his deep affinity with French music, whose history he almost retraced backwards, also approaching the French harpsichord school of the eighteenth century, with particular reference to François Couperin and Jean-Philippe Rameau. In order to deepen his knowledge of these composers, he undertook the study of harpsichord performance practice with Maestro Giampiero Rosato, whilst continuing his concert activity as a pianist.
He had studied at the Conservatory “Tomadini” of Udine, where he completed his studies with top marks, honours and a special mention under the guidance of Maestros Franca Bertoli and Luca Rasca. He obtained a Master Diploma for Concert Performance at the Accademia del Ridotto in Stradella with Maestro Aquiles delle Vigne. He received prizes and awards at several national and international competitions, among which the Premio Venezia (fourth prize) and the Premio Nazionale delle Arti (of which he won first prize at the 14th edition).
His interest in artistic directorship and in the promotion of innovative musical events led him to be part of the selection panel in the Mittelfest, for the series Mittelyoung and the Carinthischer Sommerfestival.
