Biography
Andreas Markus is a bassist whose work is documented in the international sessions collected on Andrea Marcelli’s The Invisible Child. He played double bass in the ensemble recorded at the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen in April 2002, alongside Jarkko Hakala, Fabrizio Mandolini, Bjarne Roupé and Marcelli.
These recordings include Almost Spring in Holmen and Open Talk, for which he shares composition credits. He also arranged Olle Adolphson’s Nu har jag fått den jag vill ha. The sessions bring together original compositions, collective improvisation and an arrangement of Swedish song.
