Antonio Morabito
Biography

Antonio Morabito is an Italian pianist based in London. He graduated from the Royal College of Music, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Piano Performance.
His studies at the RCM were generously supported by the Members of the Board of Il Circolo.
Antonio is a dedicated piano tutor and teaches through the Royal College of Music Teaching Service. He also teaches as Professor of Piano at the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School in London, and works as a choir conductor at St Augustine’s Church in Hammersmith. In previous years, he taught piano in Italy in both private and state schools.
He had previously graduated with distinction in Piano from the Cilea Conservatory, under the guidance of Marialaura Cosentino, who continues to be an important mentor for him. While studying at the Cilea Conservatory, he also studied Composition. As a composer, he has written works for solo piano and chamber ensemble, some of which he has performed himself in public concerts and on television broadcasts in Reggio, Italy.
In 2019 he was awarded a scholarship by the European Commission and obtained a Master’s degree with full marks from the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory in Valencia, studying piano and chamber music with Adolfo Bueso and choral conducting with Nadya Stoyanova.
In July 2019 he graduated with distinction in Chamber Music from the Cilea Conservatory. Antonio also graduated in Philosophy from the University of Messina.
He has taken part in masterclasses and advanced piano specialisation courses with acclaimed artists including Freddy Kempf, Enrique Bátiz Campbell, Cristiano Burato, François-Joël Thiollier, Michele Campanella, Benedetto Lupo, Stefan Stroissnig and Leslie Howard.
He has received prizes and achieved high rankings in national and international piano competitions, including the Brussels International Piano Competition, the Città di Barletta International Competition, the Mandanici Award, the Rome Competition, the László Spezzaferri International Music Competition, the Città di Pesaro International Music Competition, the VII Odin International Music Online Competition, the San Donà di Piave International Piano Competition, the International Youth Music Competitions in Atlanta, USA, the London Classical Music Competition, and the International Moscow Music Competition in Moscow, Russia.
In 2014, Antonio was honoured with the title of Young Artist of Excellence for the Musical Arts by the UNICRAM Association. In September 2017, he performed as part of the Best Italian Graduates concert season in Castrocaro Terme.
He has appeared in prestigious venues including St Paul’s Church in London, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in London, Trinity College Cambridge, Steinway Hall, the Italian Cultural Institute in London, and many others.
