Carlotta Masci

Biography

Carlotta Masci. Active both in Italy and abroad as a concert performer, she is equally committed to fostering musical culture among younger generations.

Her repertoire spans a wide chronological range, from the earliest piano literature to contemporary music. Born in Rome, she began studying the piano at the age of five. She graduated from the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome, where she subsequently pursued advanced studies in solo piano, chamber music and contemporary music. She also studied piano duo at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, further enriching her training through the guidance of distinguished Italian and international teachers, including Gloria Lanni, Bernard Fauchet, Adèle Auriol, Sanja and Lidija Bizjak, Marcella Crudeli, Sergio Calligaris and Bruno Canino, among others.
She has combined her solo career with an intense chamber music activity, while maintaining the solo piano as the privileged focus of her interpretative research, pursued through concerts, conferences and symposia in Italy, Europe and the United States. She is a professor at the Conservatorio Niccolò Piccinni in Bari.
Limina is her second recording project, following The Italian Age of Elegance, devoted entirely to the piano music of Domenico Scarlatti, Baldassarre Galuppi and Domenico Cimarosa.
