Fleur-de-Lys

Biography

Fleur-de-Lys is a vocal ensemble founded in Piacenza in 2012 by Giorgio Ubaldi to realise Carlo Alessandro Landini’s Missa novem vocum.

Its work focuses on modern and contemporary vocal repertoire. The ensemble brings together soprano Donata Zaghis, alto Isabella Di Pietro, tenor Paolo Tormene and bass Filippo Maria Tuccimei, with a flexible membership that also draws on singers and instrumentalists from the Piacenza and Milan areas. Its collaboration with Landini continues in Libro di Madrigali, a recording that explores the relationship between contemporary composition and the Italian polyphonic madrigal tradition.
