Lorenzo Micheli Pucci

Biography

Lorenzo Micheli Pucci was born and grew up in the Lunigiana region between Liguria and Tuscany. He began studying classical guitar at the age of six under the guidance of Maria Grazia Citterio.

He continued by attending various masterclasses with masters such as Piera Dadomo, Vincenzo Torricella, Tilman Hoppstock and masterclasses with Ares Tavolazzi and Rolf Lieslevand. In 2012 he met maestro Luigi Biscaldi with whom he deepened his studies of 20th-century and contemporary music. In 2017, he was admitted to the "A. Vivaldi" Conservatory of Alessandria in Biscaldi's class, where he obtained his bachelor's degree with a thesis on the composers Wolfango Dalla Vecchia and Ernst Krenek and his master's degree with a programme on Angelo Gilardino's Studies of Virtuosity and Transcendence. He plays with Tommaso Bruno (violin) and Giovanni Martinelli (guitar) performing mainly in the provinces of La Spezia, Piacenza (Festival "Le Anime della Chitarra") and as a soloist in Piedmont (Association "Doc.Bi", FAI in Villata and concerts dedicated to the composers Giuseppe Rosetta and Angelo Gilardino in Vercelli) and in Sardinia for the association "Musicare". In 2017, Angelo Gilardino dedicated the piece for solo guitar 'Santuario' to him and Giovanni Martinelli. In 2018, he began collaborating with his brother Eugenio (contemporary dance) and later expanded the line-up into a group called Durandarte Ensemble, a multifaceted project featuring different forms of artistic expression (music, dance and painting). In the summer of 2019, he met guitarist-composer KevinSwierkosz-Lenart, who dedicated to him a concerto for guitar and orchestra, a sonatina, Formal Inventions and Konnakol (for two guitars and choreography).
