Biography
Maria Miele graduated with top honors in Cello from the "L. Perosi" Conservatory of Music in Campobasso at the age of 16 under the guidance of Maestro M.
Chiapperino. She continued her studies both in Italy and abroad, in countries such as Germany, France, Hungary, and Ukraine, with masters including G. Mazzoccante, R. Garioud, D. Schwarzberg, G. Geminiani, E. Dindo, the Fiesole String Quartet, G. Pichler at the Chigiana Music Academy, and the Cremona String Quartet at the “W. Stauffer” Academy. She has had an extensive concert career, performing both in chamber music (MADA’S Quartet, Miele Trio, Nadiyah Duo, Sincronie Quartet) and orchestral settings. She has been selected through auditions for the Arena di Verona, the Lirico-Symphonic Orchestra of the "Petruzzelli" Theater in Bari, and the Rome Opera House.
In 2014, she won an audition that allowed her to attend a Summer Academy in Orchestral and Chamber Music at the Collegium Musicum of Pommersfelden (Bavaria). In the same year, she earned her diploma with top honors from the National Academy of S. Cecilia in Rome in the class of Maestro G. Sollima. She then continued her studies in duo performance in France, in the cello and chamber music class of Maestro R. Garioud at the Conservatory of L’Hay-Les-Roses, and, also in duo formation, with Maestro G. Mazzoccante at his “Music and Art International Academy” in Chieti.
In 2017, she won the competition for Principal Cello in the Abruzzo Symphony Orchestra, a position she still holds.
