Raffaele Impagnatiello

Biography

Raffaele Impagnatiello
Born in Calabria, he began his piano studies at the age of seven under Maestro Argirò, graduating with honors in 2003 from the “A.

Steffani” Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto. His artistic development is complemented by a distinguished, multidisciplinary academic background, having earned degrees in Musicology (University of Rome Tor Vergata), Linguistics (University of Padua), Piano Studies (Conservatory of Adria), and Chamber Music (Conservatory “C. Pollini” of Padua).
He refined his training as a soloist and chamber musician under several world-renowned masters. Of particular importance was his work with Konstantin Bogino at the Arts Academy in Rome and the “Incontri col Maestro” Academy in Imola. He also broadened his repertoire with such eminent figures as Lya De Barberiis (the last heir to the Italian pianistic school of Casella and Longo), Bruno Canino and Svetlana Bogino. Furthermore, he pursued doctoral studies in Musicology at the Freie Universität Berlin, where he also taught and maintained an active concert schedule in various chamber ensembles.
He has performed extensively in major musical centers including Venice, Milan, Rome, and Turin, as well as on several tours across Germany (including Berlin, Mannheim, and Ludwigshafen), the Czech Republic and Tunisia. A specialist in chamber music repertoire, he has collaborated extensively with world-renowned musicians and served as a piano accompanist at the Conservatory of Adria for nearly a decade.
Since 2019 he has formed a duo with flutist Elia Guglielmo, a partnership that has lead to this collaboration with the Da Vinci label. He is currently Professor of Chamber Music at the “L. Canepa” Conservatory of Sassari, Italy.
