Stefano Colucci
Born in Florianópolis, Brazil, Stefano Colucci began studying singing at a young age under the guidance of soprano Cristina Pagotto Tonussi.
He later moved to Italy, where he refined his training with bass Pietro Naviglio. With an elegant and versatile voice and a strong interpretative sensitivity, he soon stood out in both the national and international opera scenes.
He made his operatic debut in 2018 in Duni's comic opera L’Isola dei pazzi in Matera, followed by numerous solo performances in sacred repertoire, including noteworthy renditions of Perosi’s Passion according to Saint Mark and Mozart’s Coronation Mass. That same year, he was awarded First Prize Overall at the International Competition “Città di Foggia.”
In 2019, he performed Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and won the role of Arlecchino in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci. His success continued in 2020 with critical acclaim for his portrayal of Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, and subsequent roles such as Flavio in Norma, Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola, and Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio. He also performed in Carmina Burana in Naples and in the musical narrative Alla ricerca di Dante by Bonetti Amendola.
In 2022, he graduated with top marks from the “N. Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari, presenting a thesis on Giuseppe Di Stefano. That same year, he debuted in rare and comic roles such as Giannino (Le serve rivali by Traetta), Florville (Il signor Bruschino by Rossini), and Don Camillo (La Claudia vendicata by Paisiello), participating in prestigious festivals and productions in Italy and abroad, including RAI’s Prix Italia and a concert in Kuwait City with CIDIM.
In 2023, he was featured in new creations, such as the contemporary opera Topo dopo Topo by Salvatore Sica, and he furthered his specialization in Rossini’s vocal style at the Opera School of Bologna, where he performed as Dorvil in La scala di seta. At the “Rodolfo Celletti” Bel Canto Academy in Martina Franca, he successfully tackled works by Massenet and Donizetti, culminating in the roles of Ernesto in Don Pasquale and Nemorino at the Teatro Fusco in Taranto.
Among his engagements are his debut as Don Gamaccio in Mercadante’s Don Chiosciotte alle nozze di Gamaccio, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle at the Siena Cathedral with the Y.M.E.O. Orchestra, and the world premiere of sacred music by Giacomo Sarcuni at the Duni Festival in Matera. He has also performed as a soloist in Stravinsky’s Pulcinella and Mozart’s Coronation Mass in Bari.
