Steno Boesso

Steno Boesso got his diploma in bassoon at the Conservatory
“C. Pollini” of Padua and in prepolyphony at
the Conservatory “B.

Marcello” of Venice, with scholarship.
He attended a two- year course of professional
training at the Academy “I Filarmonici di Torino”,
thanks to a CEE-UE scholarship. He won the audition
of the Orchestre de l’Opera de Lyon, conducted by
J. Eliot Gardiner, for the role of bassoonist co-soloist;
in the period 1988-1993 he took part in all the productions
and in all the recordings of the theater. In 1997 he
won the audition for the role of first bassoonist in the
Orchestra del Teatro la Fenice of Venice. At present he
is often invited to collaborate as a polyinstrumentalist
with the most important specialized ensembles. He
teaches bassoon at the Conservatory “A. Pedrollo” of
Vicenza.
