Bjarne Roupé
Biography
Bjarne Roupé is a Swedish jazz guitarist and composer whose career includes work in Denmark and collaborations across the Scandinavian jazz scene. He has performed with the Swedish group EGBA and appears in Michael Mantler’s recording projects.
On Andrea Marcelli’s The Invisible Child, Roupé plays guitar in the ensemble recorded at Copenhagen’s Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in April 2002. He shares the composition credits for Almost Spring in Holmen and Open Talk, and participates in the recording of Olle Adolphson’s Nu har jag fått den jag vill ha and Marcelli’s title track. With Marcelli, he also served as artistic producer of these sessions.
