G. Pacchioni

Giorgio Pacchioni is an Italian composer, recorder player and scholar of historical counterpoint. His work focuses on recovering compositional techniques from Renaissance and Baroque sources and applying them in new music, reconstructions and teaching. He has performed on a range of historical instruments and taught early-music performance and counterpoint. For Pasión y Melancolía he prepared the contrapuntal treatment of the canto llano described in the album notes.
