Gianluca Verlingieri

Gianluca Verlingieri is an Italian composer and sound artist working across acoustic composition, electronic sound and multimedia practice. His music has been presented by institutions and festivals including INA-GRM in Paris, the Italian Academy at Columbia University, the Berlin Staatsoper, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and ZKM in Karlsruhe.

His output includes instrumental, vocal and electroacoustic works. The choral piece Benedicite Dominum, recorded on Quando canto, explores contrasting textures, fragmented syllables and the expressive possibilities of sacred text.
