Biography
Guilherme Órfão is a Madeiran musician, composer and arranger specialising in traditional island chordophones, particularly the braguinha. He began studying the instrument at the age of seven and has participated in projects including Si que Brade, Orquestra de Ponteado, Metáfora, FadoFuncho and Timple Meets Madeira. His work combines the instruments' traditional vocabulary with original music and influences from other genres, including jazz. His P8 is included in Miniaturas Contemporâneas para Braguinhas.
