Ignaz Moscheles

Ignaz Moscheles (1794-1870) was a Bohemian-born pianist, composer and teacher. A prominent virtuoso and an advocate of Beethoven's music, he also made chamber arrangements that brought orchestral repertoire into domestic and concert settings.
