Johannès Donjon

Johannès Donjon (1839-1912) was a French flautist and composer associated with the nineteenth-century French flute tradition. His output includes studies, character pieces and works for flute with accompaniment. His music combines lyrical melodic writing with the technical fluency of a practising virtuoso. Élégie is included in Rita D’Arcangelo and Giuliano Mazzoccante’s programme Voix de Pan.
