Joseph Fahrbach

Joseph Fahrbach (1804-1883) was an Austrian flautist, guitarist, composer and bandmaster, born in Vienna. He worked at the Court Opera Theatre and also ran a music school. His compositions include flute concertos and operatic fantasies; he also published instrumental teaching methods. His collaboration with Elias Parish-Alvars is represented by the fantasy on themes from Bellini’s I puritani for flute and harp.
