Julián Arcas

Julián Arcas (1832-1882) was a Spanish guitarist and composer. His music connects the nineteenth-century concert guitar with Spanish dance and song, combining idiomatic instrumental writing with operatic arrangements and characteristic pieces. His influence forms an important part of the background to the later Spanish guitar tradition.
