After studying saxophone in Madrid alongside clarinet, piano, violin and harmony, he toured Europe and became a leading figure at Madrid’s Whisky Jazz Club. His Flamenco Jazz project, presented at the Berlin Jazz Festival in 1967, helped establish him as a pioneer in bringing jazz and flamenco together. His instrumental works, including Memorias, have entered the repertoire of both saxophonists and clarinettists.
