Pietro Pettoletti

Pietro Pettoletti was a guitarist, pianist, composer and teacher of Italian ancestry whose career took him across northern Europe. His father Johan was a musician and chapel master in Christiania, Norway. Pettoletti worked in Germany and Sweden before settling in Russia, where he performed, taught and appeared in duo with his violinist brother Joachim. His guitar music combines the language of European Romanticism with material drawn from Russian musical traditions.
