Giovanni Sanguineti: Remember the Future

Album notes

“Remember The Future, new album by Giovanni Sanguineti Nextrio feat. Mattia Cigalini, an interesting line-up made up of Giovanni Sanguineti at the double bass, Mario Zara at the piano and Nicola Stranieri at the drums, with the presence as a guest of a shining tricolour jazz talent such as Mattia Cigalini at the alto sax, is a record-oriented towards modern mainstream with some brilliant forays into contemporary jazz. The tracklist consists of eight tracks, all original compositions resulting from Sanguineti’s feracious grey matter. The chantability of the themes, the deep melodic sense and the harmonic finesse represent the real polar star of this recording project. All further refined by a swing tout court and, above all, by a genuine communication full of emotional transport.” Stefano Dentice – music journalist
