Lungo il fiume is a work for solo guitar by Eugenio Catina, dated 2025. It comprises two movements: Sul sentiero dei pioppi and Riflessi sull’acqua.
The score opens with an epigraph by Jorge Luis Borges linking the river with the passage of time. The first movement, marked Sereno, senza fretta, asks the performer to sustain the positions and let the strings resonate.
