Da Vinci Classics · Forthcoming recording
Eduard Sánchez, flute
Enrique Bagaría, piano
Release:

Eduard Sánchez and Enrique Bagaría bring together music by Carl Czerny, Albert Guinovart, Ananda Sukarlan, Jorge Grundman and Ludwig van Beethoven in Spring Times, a new recording for Da Vinci Classics scheduled for May 2027.
The programme places Czerny’s Duo Concertant, Op. 129, alongside Beethoven’s Spring Sonata, Op. 24, heard here in a version for flute and piano. Originally written for violin and piano, Beethoven’s sonata opens a different instrumental perspective on the dialogue between the two parts.
Three world premiere recordings extend that dialogue into the present: Guinovart’s Four Preludes of Light, Sukarlan’s Fishing in Spring from The Springs of Vincent, and Grundman’s Sonata, Op. 98, The Blossoming of the Spring. Images of light and seasonal renewal connect the new works with the album’s title.
