ARE- Andrea Ruggeri Ensemble

ARE, the Andrea Ruggeri Ensemble, brings together thirteen musicians in a project led by drummer and composer Andrea Ruggeri. Musiche invisibili translates impressions of Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities into seven interconnected pieces, combining voices, woodwind, brass, strings, guitars, keyboards, vibraphone, percussion and live electronics. Composed passages and improvisation draw on jazz, contemporary chamber music, rock and folk traditions.
