Opus Ludere

Opus Ludere is the duo of flautist Domenico Testaì and guitarist Davide Sciacca. Their work combines the classical flute-and-guitar repertoire with an interest in South American music and collaboration with living composers.

The Da Vinci album El Tango grew from their exploration of Astor Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango and the continuing possibilities of tango as concert music. The programme includes works written for the duo by Andrea Amici and other contemporary composers, as well as Roberto Di Marino’s sonata. Their approach places the exchange between performer and composer at the centre of the project.
