Biography
Charles Koch was a nineteenth-century bassoonist and composer born near Koblenz in 1793. He joined the chapel of the Duke of Saxe-Coburg in 1822. His Bolero, Op. 40, originally for bassoon and piano, reflects the virtuoso concertante repertoire cultivated by wind players of his generation.
