François de Boisvallée
Biography
François de Boisvallée was a pseudonym of the French composer Pierre Duclos (1929–1973), who also published under the name Stani Marinko. His output includes chamber and instrumental music as well as works in lighter musical genres.
His Sonata No. 1 for flute and harp, recorded by Andrea Oliva and Anna Loro, draws on Baroque and galant models. Its three movements—Allegro, Air tendre and Allegro giocoso—combine clear formal outlines with graceful melodic writing and the contrasting colours of the two instruments.
