The Carlo Cattano Orchestra was formed in 2012, as part of a musical project led by saxophonist, composer and conductor Carlo Cattano. The aim was to bring together young musicians who were open to new influences and without prejudice, utilizing each player's unique artistic background and sensitivities. This orchestra operates as a flexible platform for research and experimentation, serving as a creative lab for musical ideas, embracing influences and expressing them fearlessly. The Carlo Cattano Orchestra has graced the stages of various festivals including Moro Jazz Festival, Vittoria Jazz Festival, Arcosoli Jazz in the picturesque Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, Nero D'Arte Festival, Noto in Jazz, Catania Jazz, Milo Jazz and Trentino Jazz.
