Alessandro Turchet is an Italian double bassist and electric bassist whose work spans jazz, contemporary music, tango, and chamber-oriented projects. After early studies in electric bass, he trained as a double bassist with Romano Todesco and graduated under the guidance of Franco Feruglio, later refining his classical background with Mauro Muraro and Fabio Serafini. He further developed his jazz language with Marc Abrams.
Since 2000 Turchet has been active as both performer and teacher, building a wide discography of more than one hundred recordings. His collaborations include projects with Glauco Venier, Massimo De Mattia, Riccardo Chiarion, Riccardo Morpurgo, Lorena Favot, Gaetano Valli, Claudio Cojaniz, Jan Sturiale, U.T. Gandhi, and Quinteto Porteño.
A versatile and sensitive musician, Turchet combines solid instrumental craft with a strong chamber sensibility, moving naturally between written forms, improvisation, and the intimate dialogue of small ensembles.
Daniele Labelli is an Italian pianist, composer, and educator whose musical path brings together classical training, jazz language, and a long-standing experience as a performer. He graduated with honours in piano from the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice, where he also studied composition, before deepening his jazz studies with Bruno Cesselli, Glauco Venier, and Marcello Tonolo.
Active both in Italy and abroad, Labelli has collaborated with artists from different musical worlds, including Alessandro Safina, Luca Minnelli, Daniele Di Gregorio, and Tullio De Piscopo. Since 2006 he has been a founding member of Quinteto Porteño, with whom he has performed extensively and recorded several albums. In 2021 he released Bordo Fiume, a duo recording of original music with double bassist Alessandro Turchet.
Alongside his performing career, Labelli teaches piano in several institutions in the Veneto region and has served since 2016 as Artistic Director of the Street Piano Festival in Caorle.
