Francesco Vitucci, born in 1991, is a composer from Bari (IT). In 2016 he obtained his academic diploma in Composition, under the guidance of Biagio Putignano, at the Conservatorio “Niccolò Piccinni” in Bari. His works are performed in concerts and festivals of contemporary music, in Italy and abroad; in 2014 his work “Sonatina per flauto e clavicembalo” won the Second Prize in the Second International Contest of harpsichord Wanda Landowska, held in Ruvo di Puglia; in the same year he joined the EGCAM group, for applied music. In 2015, he joined the S.I.M.C. Società Italiana Musica Contemporanea, Section Apulia. In the same year his work “Trio” for violin, cello and piano is performed in “Contemporary 4 kids” III Edition in Buffalo (NY); he produced a sonorization inside the Festival of Contemporary Sacred Art “Pro Arte Pro Deo” XXIII edition in Monteroni di Lecce, with two works for synth sounds, “Di luce e attimi lontani” and “Istanti d’ombra“. In November 2015 he was in the first international competition of composition “Musica e Poesia tra Italia e Giappone”, organized by Istituto Italiano di Cultura of Osaka (JP), winning a publication of his piece “Respiri erosi” for soprano, flute and guitar.
