“C’ est la vie” (that’s life) rather than the title of my first album is the life philosophy that has been driving me up to now. This is the story of my life as a musician, started with a strong will to grow and learn, developed into the desire of giving the due weight to every experience, to each note. French Gypsies suggest us to take life as it comes, with naïve eyes. Django Reinhardt’s peculiar and hand-to-mouth existence has taught us that the journey is paramount. Through the melodies of this album, my fellow travelers Casinò Babis and I have tried to pass some of that fading spontaneous Gypsy simplicity, almost extinct, which we hope will carry you away in an amazing journey. Overall, that is all that matters!
