Laudes Creaturarum by Emanuele Stracchi sets the Cantico delle Creature of Saint Francis of Assisi for soprano and string orchestra. The score is written for solo voice, first and second violins, viola, cello and double bass, with an indicated duration of approximately ten minutes.
The work was commissioned by the Comitato Nazionale Greccio 2023 for the eight-hundredth anniversary of the first Nativity scene at Greccio (1223–2023). The edition reproduces the text of the canticle before the music and identifies the work as the Platinum Prize recipient in the Composition Category of the World Melodia Championship 2024.
