Marco Sollini’s Valse, Op. 57, subtitled La saucisse oubliée, is a work for solo piano dedicated to Antonio Ballista. It was composed in Porto Sant’Elpidio on 19 January 2025.

The introductory note presents the piece as a playful homage to Rossini, reflected in its gastronomic title, buoyant waltz rhythm and descending melodic figure. A short ascending cadenza restores the home key after a chromatic passage. The volume includes introductory notes in Italian and English.
